Vin Diesel stars as an undercover agent and highly skilled driver who must infiltrate the Barcelona underworld to gather intelligence surrounding a covert heist.

We have gathered together the best information currently available for Wheelman including , an article detailing all of it's main features, screenshots to show you exactly what Wheelman looks like, cheats for Wheelman and gameplay tips too.

Wheelman is a Sony PlayStation 3 Car Racing Action game, written by Tigon.

Guide to Wheelman on the PlayStation 3

Wheelman is a high octane title that is scheduled to race into the PlayStation 3 this year. Starring movie star Vin Diesel, Midway hopes to produce a video game experience that closely resemble an action movie in Wheelman. If you are into high speed chases and some raw action, then this is certainly the type of game that you'd enjoy playing for hours.

From what we've already mentioned, Vin Diesel will star in Wheelman as Milo Burik whom players will get the chance to play as. The action is set in Barcelona, Spain where there are lots of baddies in town and it is Milo's objective to infiltrate those gangs. The Wheelman has two main roles in the game: he will be a gunman and will also execute cool moves from the vehicles. From the name of the title itself, you can expect to see a plethora of cars and high-speed action that has led critics to compare it to GTA.

Basically, most of your action in Wheelman will consist of you riding in the car while you race around the complex streets of Barcelona. You will be completing various missions and challenges as you drive your car around the city. At its core, Wheelman is an open-world game wherein you'd be facing the various nasty gangs in town. Although you can perform special moves while riding your vehicles, there are also on-foot sections available in Wheelman, which will be discussed further a bit later.

There is lots of variety to Wheelman, whether you are in-vehicle or on-foot. Therefore, gamers would have to spend the first few minutes of playing through this game in an effort to understand how to get around in the game and before you become proficient at controlling various movements. One of that is in terms of controls, which is crucial since gamers can hop on to just about any type of vehicle they can find on the street. You can use the right stick to control the weight of the vehicle and you can navigate it according to the direction your press, so that you can move the vehicle sideways, forward, or backward.

Wheelman employs two core ideas as its game philosophy: you can use the car as a weapon and it is disposable. This results in a highly intense action game wherein action never gets repetitive at some point, as you would anticipate. Instead, every driving sequence is all in your hands wherein gamers can race through other vehicles and then hop on to another at will if ever your vehicle breaks down. Definitely an exciting prospect for gamers who enjoy the freedom that their game offers.

The in-game physics employed in Wheelman is also one that sets it apart from other racing or action games. It is more about action than realism; hence, you can expect some mind blowing moves that you can execute with the vehicle that disrespects any law of physics and this was intended (and even encouraged) by developers with how the game was designed.

Your choice of vehicles is a main focus in Wheelman, given that a great majority of the game is focused on driving sequences. However, Wheelman decides to take that to the next level by not offering gamers any limitation with what they can do with or while on vehicle. Instead of being offered a lineup of cars to choose from, you are free to steal in this game, wherein the GTA comparison comes into the picture. Therefore, you can ride just about any variation of vehicle you can find in the streets of Barcelona, whether it be a truck, motorcycles, bicycle, or an SUV. However, there are a corresponding set of melee attacks available to your chosen vehicles. One pleasing aspect about this is that there is more variety with the attacks that you can use, given that you stumble upon these vehicles instead of being predetermined. It is not clear though as to whether Wheelman will feature a vehicle save system wherein you can store it in a specific location and return to use it anytime you desire. That would be awesome, though!

Another distinct feature available to Wheelman is the vehicle-based weapon system. When driving your vehicle, you cannot just rely on your bullets and guns to do the attacking in this game. Instead, you can utilize your vehicle to perform melee attacks using the right thumbstick. Plus, these attacks itself offer a wide range of possibilities from full-on vehicle assaults to powerful swipes.

There are a few notable special attacks that you can carry out using your vehicle, such as the Aimed Shot, Cyclone, and the distinct Airjack. When you activate Aimed Shot, it slows down time so you can perfectly aim at enemies then take them down easily with a single shot. Cyclone is within the same premise although a lot more unrealistic, since it slows down time and allows Milo to spin the car 360 degrees while you spray enemies with lead. Lastly, Airjack is an ingenious design that has nothing to do with realism at all. With this feautre, Milo is capable of stealing a car who he spots and likes without having to get out of the one he's currently driving. Instead, he will simply drive behind the car he eyes on, jump out of the window in an effort to kick its original driver out and replace him on the wheel. After all, this IS a video game!

There are also a few on-foot sections available in Wheelman, although they pale in comparison to the driving sections. Here, you can also execute gunplay with the lock-on or free targeting third person shooting. You will have a decent selection of weapons and an effective cover system. Still set in Barcelona, the on-foot sections are a bit generic but does offer some valid diversions from all that driving action, which the developers intended in order to pace the action in the game.

If you were counting on having multiplayer features in Wheelman, then you're in for some disappointment since this is strictly a single-player experience. The developers can make a contention with this one though, since there are several potent gameplay elements that would have to be stripped out if they insist on a multiplayer feature. Nonetheless, the single player experience in Wheelman offers enough exciting and high octane adventure for you to ever mind not having the multiplayer option.

The developing team concludes that gamers would take around 15 hours to complete if they opt to follow just the main storyline of Wheelman, and another 10 hours if you choose to play all of the 15 side missions available.

Visually, there is nothing unpleasant to be said about Wheelman since Midway has managed to render Barcelona as the game world magnificently. Indeed, this game is a visual firepower with lots of gorgeous environments that make the perfect setting for an action game. The same can be said during the actual gameplay wherein the game never suffers any delay or slow down at some point.

Although the use of Vin Diesel as the main playable character in Wheelman will draw some fans into the game, it is not the game's only strong point. It features solid gameplay elements who aim to create a distinction from other similar genres. But it nonetheless created its own merit as a truly fun and satisfying game to play, probably one of the most promising games to arrive on the PS3 for this year.
