Resistance 2 hopes to regain the glory of the PS3 since it has been one of Sony's most reliable titles to hit the console. Many claim that this was the system's best launch yet and Insomniac Games took in a lot of effort in terms of development and working together with various teams to create an integral game.
Insomniac Games and head of development have looked into the public beta as an opportunity to get feedbacks from the fans as to how the game is looking and if there are anymore changes needed. If there is, they can specifically determine which aspect of the game needs more tuning, add in a few tweaks, or polish. They have looked into infusing features of the game that will render Resistance 2 as not only looking and sounding, but also playing, incredible.
The gameplay in Resistance Fall of Man 2 was really one aspect that the developers have focused on. What sets Resistance 2 apart from all other titles to hit the system is its diversity. It was a challenge for the development team just to be able to get the game done with its highly extensive features. Among the most notable is the incorporation of the various modes and campaigns in Resistance 2. If you were to look into the game, it seems more like a three games in one. This is appropriated into three: the single-player campaign, the multiplayer competitive modes, and the co-op campaign.

In a first-person shooter such as Resistance 2, you need to always incorporate lots of action and shooting, especially with 8 gamers playing at the same time. Hence, gamers can expect lots of enemies for the co-op levels. Consequently, this requires that the spaces for the single-player game and co-op levels must be varied accordingly. With this in mind, a different design approach must be done in order to prevent players bunching up in one area or enemies getting around too easily.
Speaking of enemies, the AI and navigation routines for Resistance Fall of Man 2 have also been given a boost. Now lots of enemies are present in complex areas in the game, but for Resistance 2 their presence means more than just for numbers. Indeed, these enemies have improved AI as well so they are not just standing there and firing you with no clear target. They are now able to communicate with one another, react to whatever you do to attack them, and they are able to navigate through these areas with ease. This will certainly be a challenge for players of Resistance 2!
In terms of the story in Resistance Fall of Man 2, the developers wanted to create a story that is coordinated between these various modes but not entirely linear. Indeed, the co-op mode now enables players to access the game however they like. That contributes to the high replay aspect of the co-op mode, something of which all gamers love in any game. Not only does Resistance 2 have a story that is nonlinear, it also goes well with the single player story.
Resistance 2 now has support capacity for up to 60 players, but the developers promised it won't turn out to be a chaotic game with the players having no clear idea of what their true aim except fire endlessly at enemies. Insomniac Games have designed Reistance Fall of Man 2 in such a way that players will be readily assigned into squads when they start off. Each of these squads are assigned their squad objectives, such as defending a particular turf. To add some spice, they have rival squads who have the opposite goal as your squad and action will just snowball from there. The new rewards system and progression for Resistance Fall of Man 2 is tied up together, wherein all your efforts in various campaigns will be rewarded. In the game, you can move up in 30 levels and ranks, with the “general” rank as your ultimate level to aim for.
There are a total of 160 ribbons, trophies, or medals to try and grab in this game but the most essential reward for Resistance 2 is a boost in your stats. Whenever you land a hit on your opponents or when your team completes an objective, you will instantly receive points for that achievement. The higher your stats become, you will eventually improve your qualities such as quickness, accuracy, or health. When you have earned enough stats, you will eventually upgrade your skills and the enemies will now gun after you.
Your skills and abilities in Resistance Fall of Man 2 is dependent on your character class. In this game, there are 3 to choose from: medic, soldier, and spec ops. Although their skills vary, they have been designed to support one another.
The soldier absorbs all the damage that might be attained by the group, and with that being said, is present in the line of fire. With access to the HVAP wraith minigun, he can use it as a moveable shield that will help protect him and his teammates.
On the other hand, the medic is the only player capable of healing the team in Resistance 2. However, in order to activate his healing ability, a special weapon in the form of a medicator must be used to absorb energy from the enemies.
Lastly, the spec ops is one that rather works behind the scenes but plays an crucial role. He is the team's damage dealer and also a scoped marksman.
