PlayStation 3 Specification

Specifications by their very nature are there to both impress and confuse you.

When a manufacturer wants to disguise a feature that they are not so proud of, they will often use very confusing or complicated terms to get you to skip past it. Alternatively, when they are very proud of a unique feature, or industry leading statistic, they will usually go out of their way to demonstrate this to you in the simplest way they can to make sure you understand what they mean.

Over the next few weeks we will be taking the Playstation 3 apart and examining it in detail. You can be sure that we will explain all of the technical terms in simple and easy to understand language.

We will begin this feature by listing the main specification for the PS3 console.
