There has been so much attention given to graphical fidelity in the video game market that it has become one of the major selling points for games released into the market these days. In fact, if you read most reviews, you will find critics touching on the visual presentation of a game and giving it a high grade if they were able to “look real” instead of looking like an arcade game. However, the irony of it is that while technologies have become more advanced, several games refuse to maximize their use of color palettes even when modern technology can accommodate more. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for the PS3 follows a story from an age-old text known as The Book Of Enoch. It follows the story of Enoch in his mission to look for fallen angels. He spent hundreds of years on his search and this is covered during the first chapter of the book. Eventually, he finds the angels hiding beneath a large tower that were built by these angels themselves. This is where the story of the game progresses as Enoch would have to fight for the tower in order to confront these fallen angels and purify them before God unleashes the major flood that could wipe out all of humanity.
The most important feature in El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is the aesthetic design that is highly notable and distinctive. When you make your way inside the tower, you will be able to appreciate the amount of detail put into the design of the environment to give it a unique look.
